KXAN News honored with Edward R. Murrow Award

Austin, TX – April 25, 2014

KXAN News is honored to receive an Edward R. Murrow award for Continuing Coverage of “A Father’s Fight,” a KXAN investigation that helped reunite a local father with his sons who were kidnapped and taken to Mexico by their mother.

The boys were ultimately located in Mexico by private investigator Logan Clarke and his team, but they will not disclose specifics of the rescue.

“It’s truly exciting to be the recipients of such prestigious recognition,” said Eric Lassberg, KXAN president and general manager. “This award is a realization of our station’s core.
