Global Pursuit Investigations

History of the Organization

In 1986, Logan Clarke and Dona Davis-Clarke founded Clarke International Investigations, which quickly became a well-respected detective firm based in Hollywood, CA. Logan Clarke was trained by legendary private detectives Hal Lipset, in San Francisco, and Walter “Big Z” Zwonitzer in Southern California. Clarke International became part of a new breed of Californian based private investigators who didn’t fit the conventional stereotype — who spent as much time retrieving abducted children and adults from overseas, whilst working to defend victims of crime, as well as taking traditional cases. The agency has been hired by governments of the United States, Sweden, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and the Philippines, as well as several Fortune 500 companies.

In 1989, Clarke International formed the global Crisis Intervention Team, the C.I.T. Task Force, made up of some of the most experienced and respected investigators from around the world, including forensic engineers, pathologists, lawyers, medical advisors, former U.S. military Special Operations personnel and former agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Central Intelligence Agency. The team has worked together in some of the most remote and dangerous parts of the planet. Mr. Clarke and his team have investigated more than 10,000 cases and have rescued more than 300 kidnap and runaway victims.

Another agency specialty early on became the reverse sting, in which detectives track down con artists who have defrauded victims of, in some cases, millions of dollars. With the client’s privacy kept intact, the crooks are lured into often elaborate stings to recover the money. Logan Clarke’s previous career as an actor, appearing — usually as a bad guy — in thirteen movies, as well as television series ranging from the original Hawaii Five-O to Hill Street Blues, was invaluable in these stings and in other undercover work, as it is now in his work as a consultant to the entertainment industry.

Logan Clarke is a former governor of the California Association of Licensed Investigators, the world’s largest association of its kind, and is the U.S. West Coast governor of the World Investigators Network. He is also a member of the World Association of Detectives and was one of the founders of the International Human Trafficking Task Force.

When Clarke International became Global Pursuit Investigations Logan was joined by  a highly experienced Private Investigator and specialist in Adolescent Services, dealing with runaways and troubled youth and transporting them to various programs around the world.

Dottie Laster, trained by the Department of Justice an Award Winning, world renowned  Human Trafficking expert also joined the Team. Both Logan and Dottie have helped to train many law enforcement agencies including the Texas Rangers in combating Human Trafficking.

Today, the agency, based in Huntington Beach, continues its work in the international sphere and throughout the United States, working on both modest cases as well as more complicated investigations. Areas of long experience include asset identification, domestic and abroad, retrieval of wrongfully abducted persons, difficult skip tracing and locating missing persons, background checks, criminal and civil lawsuit defense, wrongful death and homicide investigations, business fraud investigations, and surveillance and undercover work to discover theft, embezzlement or domestic deceptions.
